We would like to introduce ourselves as the owners of The Beach Hut: Jo and Matt Crabtree. We are a local family and Jo has over 15 years experience working in the childcare profession.
Our aim is to provide a friendly, clean and fun environment for the whole family to enjoy. We pride ourselves in impeccably high standards and offering new and exciting events and activities.

GENERAL ADMISSION
BOOKING:
Q. Do you take bookings only, can I just walk in?
A. During term time weekdays we may relax the session times so walk ins are welcome anytime on a first come first serve basis until we reach capacity. Bookings can be made online and is recommended to guarantee your space, particularly on weekends and school holidays where our session times will be enforced.
Q. I can’t book for the time I would like to arrive.
A. We allocate session times for bookings, if you would like to attend at a different time please give the centre a call and they will be a happy to try to accommodate your request.
Q. Can I book and pay over the phone?
A. Sure, our team will be happy to help with securing your booking over the phone.
Q. I’m unable to book online for more than 6 in my group.
A. You’ve exceeded our online booking limit, if you would like make 2 separate bookings under the same name, the centre will be able sit you either on the same table or in the same area. Alternatively give us a call and the team can make a group booking for you.
FOOD:
Q. Do you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?
A. At The Beach Hut we understand the importance of food hygiene and allergen safety. Our staff have undertaken allergy training and food hygiene training. We have a 5 star Food Hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency. We also have an allergy guideline to help with your choice.
Q. Do you cook food which contains allergies separately?
A. We have allergy procedures in place so that all your food is safely prepared and cooked separately using separate utensils and cooking equipment where necessary.
Q. Do you have any allergy guidelines to hand?
A. Yes we do, please feel free to ask a member of the team and they will be happy to help assist in your choice, whilst you look into our guidelines.
Q. Do you have a last orders during sessions?
A. During busy periods we recommend ordering your food in your first hour of your session.
Q. What time does the café open?
A. Our kitchen opens at 10 am, if staff are available they will be happy to take your order.
GENERAL:
Q. Do you provide WIFI?
A. Unfortunately we don’t provide WIFI it has been known to cause interference with our card machines.
Q. If my child falls ill or I’m unable to attend, would I be able to get a refund or change to a later date?
A. To cancel or rebook the session, you MUST contact us at least 24 hours in advance of your booked session. No refunds will be given. However, it is up to the managers discretion if we are able to offer another date but this will only be considered if reasonable notice is given.
Q. Can I add another child or adult onto my booking on entry?
A. This should not be an issue if the space is available, we aim to have a seat for every child and adult in the centre.
Q. Can I upgrade my small child’s meal deal?
A. Unfortunately our offer price is only relevant to a smaller child’s meal.
Q. Do I need to pay for adults?
A. Due to fire regulations, numbers are limited and we have to account for everyone in the building therefore there is a fee for adults and spectators.
Q. Do you have an accident/emergency procedure in place?
A. Yes, all our policies and procedures are reviewed annually.
Q. Is their First Aid on site available?
A. Yes, we have an up to date first aid kit and procedure. There is always a trained first aider on site.

PARTIES:
Q. Can siblings attend parties? Do I need to pay, book?
A. Siblings are welcome to attend but will need to pay an admission charge. Booking is not essential.
Q. What time can we arrive to set up the party?
A. You are welcome to arrive 10 minutes before the party starts to set up.
Q. How many parents/grandparents can attend (is there a charge)?
A. One adult per child is included in the party, any extra adults will be charged.
Q. Do we need to bring a knife and napkins for the birthday cake?
A. Our cook will cut and wrap your cake as no knives are allowed in the play area, we welcome you to bring your own napkins if possible.
Q. Do you provide decorations ?
A. We always try our best to coordinate napkin colours to match your chosen theme but we do not provide balloons and other extras. You are welcome to bring any decorations with you.
Q. What happens if the birthday child is ill?
A. We understand that sometimes circumstances arise which means the party cannot go ahead as planned. In this case we will always try to rearrange your party for another suitable date. Our deposit is non refundable, however in exceptional circumstances the manager may be able to help.
Q. Do I have to pay for children who do not attend on the day ?
A. Our parties have specific minimum numbers which we will always charge for, however if the numbers are over the minimum required we will only charge for the children who attend.
Q. When do you take the final payment?
A. We will take the final payment on the day of the party.
Q. Can I have hot food instead of cold?
A. We will always try to accommodate your needs and requirements, if you contact us we will be happy to help. We have a variety of party extras to add to your party package.
Q. Do you email invites over?
A. Unfortunately we do not provide invites via email, you are welcome to come and collect invites at any time prior to your party.
Q. Do you cut and wrap the cake?
A. We are happy to cut and wrap your cake, if possible please bring napkins for us to do this.
Q. Do you cater for allergies?
A. At The Beach Hut we understand the importance of food hygiene and allergen safety. We will contact you to find out if there are any allergies or dietary requirements. We will then ask again on the day as each child arrives, we can cater for most allergies and we always take the child’s name and requirement so we can prepare the food separately on a separate labelled plate.
If you have a child with many serious allergies please contact us and we can discuss your needs.
Q. Can I bring games such as a pinata and pass the parcel?
A. Yes you are welcome to bring these but please be mindful about how much time you will have.
Q. Can I bring my own mascot/face painter?
A. Yes you can, you will need to obtain a copy of their liability insurance before the party.
We do work with some businesses already who we can put you in contact with.
Q. Will I be able to open a tab for our guests to purchase drinks and food?
A. Yes, just ask one of the staff when you arrive and we will open a tab on the till for you.
Q. When do you need final numbers?
A. We will contact you the week before your party via email if you could return the information as soon as possible so we can ensure we have everything you need.
Q. Is there specific parking for our guests?
A. We have ample parking in our car park but should you need more you are welcome to use the pub car park (cars parked at owners risk).
Q. Can the centre accommodate special needs/disabilities?
A. Yes, we are an inclusive setting and will always accommodate all children, if your child requires a quiet party or has any specific requirements please do not hesitate to ask us.
Q. Do parents need to stay or can they return later?
A. Yes, all children must be accompanied by a parent/carer, however if you have made arrangements with the party parents then we may relax this rule.
Q. Is a deposit required? Is it refundable?
A. A deposit is required when booking to secure your party date, this deposit is non refundable.
